Dr. Harasim has served as a member of Boards of Directors, on International Advisory Boards, and on Editorial Boards. She has served as Director and Chair of Virtual Learning Environments, Inc., President of E-Learning Solutions, Inc., and President of the TeleLearning Network Inc. She has also served as CEO and Network Leader, TeleLearning Network of Centers of Excellence (a university-industry R&D network linking 32 universities and 225 public and private sector partners in Canada, and world).
Dr. Harasim has provided consultancy services for a wide range of educational institutions and organizations, with especial focus on her expertise in online collaborative learning implementation, technology and research. Her clients include: University of Phoenix Online, Bank of Montreal, the UN ILO, the World Bank, the UN High Commission for Refugees, Jamaica Computer Education Society, the Jamaica Heart Foundation, University of the West Indies as well as a number of other universities and educational organizations around the world.
